Screenshots not saving/ Can’t activate Mods/CC

Introduction

Avast and AVG seem to be blocking the Sims 4 user folder since Patch 1.67.45/ 1.32 which prevents the game from using certain files and folders.

This shows with the following symptoms:

I can’t take any screenshots or videos anymore
I can’t reactive Mods/CC although I’ve turned them back on
The Gameversion.txt file in the user folder has a wrong version.
The gallery only shows red Xs

Solution

Add the following files to Avast as an exception:

C:\Programme\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EADesktop.exe (Path can vary depending on where you installed EA app)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\Origin.exe (Path can vary depending on where you installed Origin)
<Installation Path>\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_x64.exe
<Installation Path>\The Sims 4\Game\Bin_LE\TS4.exe
