Sims don’t receive bills

Update

This issue was fixed in August 2015. The solution below should still work if you don’t get any though. You get bills once a week on Monday morning in Sims 4. If your game started on a Monday, wait a week until next Monday.

Problem

My Sim does not receive any bills

Cause

This is caused by a stuck bill in your inventory. The stuck bill prevents you from getting new ones.

Solution

You can force the game to generate bills via cheat

Do the following steps to use the cheat console

Open the cheat console with ctl-shift-c
Enter the cheat you need in the entry box which appeared in the upper left corner of your screen.
Hit ENTER
Repeat steps 2 & 3 for every necessary cheat.
After entering all needed cheats, close the cheat console with ctl-shift-c

Type testingcheats true
Type households.force_bills_due to force new payable bills
Close the cheat console

How to prevent

Don’t get bills out of your mailbox. Pay them right away from your Computer, phone or mailbox. If you don’t have enough money to pay them yet, leave them in the mail box
