Actor Career: Prep Tasks reset

This bug has been fixed in Patch 1.62.67

Problem

My Sim has done all the prep tasks but as soon as I travel somewhere, the progress is reset.

Cause

This is a known bug. The actual cause is unknown.

Solution

There is non. It’s impossible to prevent travelling as your Sim needs to change lots to go to work.

Even without the prep tasks it’s possible to advance in the career but the the chances of failure on the tasks on set is higher if you don’t do them. Because of this, it’s more difficult to reach gold.

Do the following steps to use the cheat console

  1. Open the cheat console with ctl-shift-c
  2. Enter the cheat you need in the entry box which appeared in the upper left corner of your screen.
  3. Hit ENTER
  4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for every necessary cheat.
  5. After entering all needed cheats, close the cheat console with ctl-shift-c

The easiest is probably to play on and just cheat promote your Sim from time to time when you think he’s earned it. Use the cheat careers.promote actor (make sure to but testingcheats on first) to do that
