Sims don’t stop showering and the hygiene bar never increases

Update

This bug was fixed in Patch 1.60.54

Problem

My Sim showers and showers but the hygiene bar never budges.

Cause

The mud bath fix from Patch 1.59.73 seems to have turned Shower/Tub combos into tubs and taking a shower is now not working properly anymore.

Solution

Replace your Shower/Tub combos with a shower or take a bath instead
